Lil Baby is on his way to become the next biggest thing out of Atlanta. The rapper had a prolific run in 2017 after dropping four mixtapes but that was only the lead up to this year. A few weeks a go, he released his debut album, Harder Than Ever, which many have argued is one of the strongest debut projects from Quality Control. The album was led with the single, “Yes Indeed” alongside OVO Head Honcho, Drake. A few months have circulating on streaming services and radio, it reaches a new level of commercial success.
Lil Baby and Drake’s collaboration, “Yes Indeed” is now eligible for Gold in the U.S, chartdata reports. For Drake, it’s another plaque to add to his collection. However, this is a massive accomplishment for Lil Baby. The song’s been receiving an enormous amount of airplay and also helped Baby receive a top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 after peaking at number six.
“Yes Indeed” also helped Drake break another record on the charts. The rapper now has the most number one singles on the Billboard Streaming Charts after the release of his collaboration with Lil Baby.
Lil Baby is seeing a lot of new success following the release of his latest project. Harder Than Ever debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 after moving 71K equivalent album units during its first week. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing what Lil Baby has in store for the rest of the year.
