Wu-Tang Clan Taps Pharoahe Monch & Tek On “Pearl Harbor (Remix)”

The Wu-Tang Clan are rarely outnumbered, so the need for a sneak attack of”Pearl Harbor” proportions is definitely unwarranted. Never-the-less, the Brooklyn Zoo-Keepers still bring a level intensity to the square circle. The two inclusions on the remixed version, Pharoahe Monch & Tek were artists I considered men of honor. That’s before I came to the realization they were capable of such deception. All kidding aside, Tek is a legend you oughta know. His group Smif-N-Wessun has fluctuated in quality over the years, forcing them to switch between aliases, a choice they hoped would help preserve their legacy.

The other guest is quite inimitable. Pharoahe Monch is rapper who carries forward dual citizenship of the pen. His early output was perceived to be overly-intellectual and overly-disseminated, like book that requires you to look up every second word. The Pharoahe Monch that appears on “Pearl Harbor (Remix)” is well adjusted to the company he now keeps.

The lesson here: don’t allow pseudo intellectuals to bully you around, look what happened to Martin Shkreli.

Quotable Lyrics:

Yo, you ever been face-fucked with a four-fifth?
Sweating, facial expression is stressing like ‘oh shit’
That’s the shit that I don’t like
Non-rappin’ rappers in the booth and they don’t write
Fuckin’ stupid ass rappers
Acting out of their character, I shoot and stab rappers
