Earlier this year, Young Thug said that he wouldn’t release any music for the remainder of the year in honor of his deaf brother. Clearly, that didn’t last too long since he dropped two projects roughly a month apart from each other. Shortly after Lil Wayne announced the release date for his highly anticipated album Tha Carter V, Thug took to opportunity to announce the sequel to his Wayne-inspired Barter 6. It may have appeared to be a troll at first, but it looks it will be the next release from Young Thug. Today, he took to Instagram to tease the album art for the project.
Young Thug took to Instagram to share what could be the cover art for his next project, Barter 7. The rapper shared a photo of what appears to be an unused photo from when he shot the cover for Barter 6. He’s seen in front of a red backdrop, shirtless with his blonde dreadlocks and a styrofoam cup in his hand. Whether it will end up being the cover art seems unlikely, but at least we might be getting the project sooner than expected.
Following Thug’s announcement of the project, London On Da Track took to Twitter to share several photos of himself and Thugger int he studio together, working on Barter 7. “Barter 7 sooner than u think,” he tweeted along with a photo of himself and Young Thug. We may not have a release date for it, but hopefully, it arrives soon.
